Eng. James Karori champions continuous improvement and is well-versed in JBC and FIDIC contracts, as well as integrated management systems like ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety), and ISO 37001:2016 (Anti-Bribery).

At the core of Rox Engineering’s operations is Eng. James Karori, a highly accomplished leader with extensive experience in civil engineering, environmental management, and occupational safety. As Operations Manager, Eng. Karori is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business development, fostering client relationships, and ensuring financial and operational excellence.
Eng. Karori is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) and the Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya (ACEK). He is also a registered Environmental Lead Consultant with the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA), a Certified Safety and Health Consultant accredited by DOSHS, and a Certified Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health-UK (IOSH).
An advocate for professional growth, Eng. Karori holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Occupational Safety and Health from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He further refined his leadership skills through a strategic management and leadership program at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
Eng. Karori’s role at Rox Engineering extends beyond technical operations to thought leadership within the engineering profession. He serves as a distinguished member of the Governance and Controls Committee of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya, where he contributes to advancing ethical practices and innovation in the industry.
